Matthew 16:21 NIV
“From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”

I really hope you’re ready. If not, then I hope you’ll start preparing yourself right now as you read this devotion. Over the next four days we will commemorate the most significant events in human history. Life changing events, death changing events, events that have changed eternity for you and for the people you’ll come into contact with today.

It’s no small thing that Jesus left us a meal of His body and blood to forgive our sins. It’s certainly no small thing that the Creator of the universe would allow Himself to be killed to pay for the sins WE have committed. It’s no small thing that Jesus thumbed His nose at death and the devil to win our victory over the same.

Please take a moment now to pray and thank God for His unconditional love and goodness. God loves you. He’s displayed it in the death and resurrection of Jesus. You are forgiven through faith in Jesus. Now death is not the end for you. It’s the beginning! Let this news change who you are and how you act. Life can never be the same! How can it be? You will live forever through faith in Jesus!

For those of you within driving distance of Victory, I’d love to celebrate the Lord’s Supper with you this evening. Come Friday evening to commemorate the death of God’s Son for our sins. On Sunday celebrate the fact that Jesus is alive and that because He lives YOU will live also. You will live FOR Him now and you will live WITH Him in eternity.

Peace in Christ,
Pastor Prigge

I not only thank God for the unconditional love He gave but for how He never asked anything in return. He did it for EVERYBODY whether they love Him or not. He didn't think anything about it. There isn't a single human being on this planet who loves without expecting or wanting something in return. How pathetic are we? Guess we needed Him. Huh?
