2 Corinthians 9:11 NIV
“You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion”
Most of us know at least one of them. The generous person who will help, share, and give whenever they’re asked. They’re accommodating and rather than make excuses about why they can’t help with this or that, they try to find a way to make it work.
These people do kind things unexpectedly and for no apparent reason. They don’t expect anything in return for their kindness, they give because they want to. They help because they know it’s needed. Are you that person? Many of you are. Some aren’t. Consider all that God has given to you. A car or two or three. Shelter; it may be an apartment, condo, trailer, rambler, or a 7,500 sq. foot luxury pad but you’ve got a roof over your head. You’ve got food, (enough to share) money, (enough to give) and health, (enough to help and serve).
We have been ‘made rich so that we can be generous on every occasion.’ Not to mention the priceless gift of knowing that we’ll live forever in heaven through faith in Jesus. It costs us nothing to share that news with others. Try it.
God has never been cheap or selfish with us. He’s give us His best in Jesus Christ. Follow His lead. Give your best to and for others.
